Dinkley is a 2 year old rescue Amstaff mix with a heart of gold and a story that’s all too common… After just one bad incident with another dog, his trust was shaken, and reactivity crept in 😔

Since then, his amazing mum has worked so hard to help him rebuild his confidence. Together, they’ve made huge progress — Dinkley can now walk past another dog on the same side of the road 🙌 but something was still off…

The missing piece? CALM💡

So our Behavioural Training class was all about shifting the focus from what Dinkley does to how he feels. Because the truth is — the state of mind dictates the behaviour!

When a dog feels safe and calm, reactive responses fade. With the right leadership and a new mindset, Dinkley’s learning to trust again 💛

Winston is a sweet little 2-year-old Maltese mix who has had a rough start to life 💔 Somewhere along the way, he learned some bad habits… resource guarding and biting when things don’t go his way 😢

But that’s not the full story. Winston is also clever, sensitive, and absolutely capable of change 🧠❤️

Winston and his devoted family had their first behavioural training class with us to get things sorted!
Our class focused on setting calm, clear boundaries so he no longer feels like he has to be in charge or on edge. When dogs know the rules and trust their humans to lead, they can finally relax and just be… dogs 🐾

Behavioural issues are often misunderstood, but they’re just signals of deeper needs or confusion. With the right guidance, even the trickiest behaviours can be transformed. Go Winston! 💪

Jordi (right) is a rescue Cavoodle that has fortunately traded a very restricted, sheltered life for one bursting with adventure, new places, and new people 💛 But with that big new world comes big feelings…

Because Jordi didn’t get much normal social exposure early on, he can be a little wary of people —and when he feels unsure, he slips into “protector mode” to keep his pack safe.

This is where Behavioural Training comes in! 🧠🐶 Jordi’s learning that he doesn’t have to take charge anymore. With the right leadership from his humans, he can finally relax and just enjoy being a dog again.

We’re already seeing some beautiful shifts in his state of mind and we’re so excited for all the calm, confident adventures to come 🐕✨

These two rescue chihuahuas couldn’t be more different when they get triggered…
💭 Atticus freezes in fear
💢 Charles puffs up and starts barking like he’s 10x his size!

Each with their own response to stress, but both sharing one BIG breakthrough — learning to let go and let their amazing mum take the lead 🙌🏼

With some clear structure and calm leadership, today’s class saw these boys settle, soften, and actually enjoy the walk with mum confidently guiding the way 🐾💛

Still a journey ahead, but HUGE progress already!
