Whether you’ve adopted an older rescue, missed the puppy school window, or just need to reset some behaviours, our Puppy School for Adult Dogs is the perfect

fresh start.

Our Puppy School for Adult Dogs is a unique 4-week group course designed to help dogs of any age learn how to be calm and obedient!

WHAT WE FOCUS ON:

We're combining Puppy Class with Obedience and Behavioural Training to create a well-rounded education for you and your dog. We'll be focusing on:

Teaching calm as a default state of mind
Building your dog’s ability to switch off and self-regulate
Helping you become the leader your dog needs
Managing overstimulation and preventing problem behaviours
The basics of Obedience Training - sit, drop, recall
Practising safe, calm socialisation in a controlled group setting

WHO ITS FOR:

Dogs of any age, breed or size who:

• Are overexcited, anxious or easily distracted

• Struggle to stay calm around other dogs or people

• Haven't had formal training before or need a reset

• Would benefit from a calm. structured group environment

COURSE DETAILS:

• When: 7pm Wednesday – Starting March 4th, 2026

• Where: Andy’s Doggy Daycare – 2 Rickard Street, Brunswick East 3057

• Duration: 4 weeks - 45minute classes

• Cost: $300 total

Classes are kept small (4-6) to ensure quality attention and a calm,

structured environment.

All dogs must be fully vaccinated to attend

OBEDIENCE & SOCIALISATION

This class is designed exclusively for existing The Good Hound Company clients who have completed our in-home Behavioural Assessment & Training and are ready to level up with Obedience Training and Socialisation.

You already know how to lead your dog in a calm, confident manner and your dog already understands how to be calm and self regulate — now we build on that foundation in a controlled group environment!

Our Obedience & Socialisation class focuses on strengthening real-world obedience around distractions while continuing to develop healthy, neutral social skills with other dogs and people. This is not a free-for-all playgroup; it’s structured, purposeful training that helps your dog stay connected to you, even in exciting environments.

The Good Hound Company's Obedience & Socialisation Class is a 6-week group course for clients looking for the next level on their dog training journey!

WHAT WE FOCUS ON:

Our Obedience & Socialisation class focuses on strengthening real-world obedience around distractions while continuing to develop healthy, neutral social skills with other dogs and people. This is not a free-for-all playgroup; it’s structured, purposeful training that helps your dog stay connected to you, even in exciting environments.

Advanced obedience with progression with distance, duration and distraction
Calm behaviour around other dogs and people
Socialisation through structured exposure, not chaos
Engagement and responsiveness in real-world scenarios
Handling skills for owners in group settings

COURSE DETAILS:

• When: 10am Sunday – Starting February 22nd, 2026

PUPPY SCHOOL

We’re excited to launch The Good Hound Company’s Puppy School, a foundational 4-week group course held in partnership with Andy’s Doggy Daycare – Brunswick East.

This course is designed for puppies up to 5 months old, to give you the tools to give them the best possible start with socialisation, confidence building, and early training that sets the tone for a well-balanced, calm dog.

WHY PUPPY SCHOOL MATTERS:

The early months of your dog's life are the most critical in terms of your dog’s behavioural development. The Good Hound Company Puppy School not only teaches you essential skills, but will help prevent common behavioural issues later in life — all while helping you build a stronger bond with your dog.
