THE GOOD HOUND PACK
Rocco came with serious behavioural challenges, including serious aggression toward men and other dogs. Despite trying various training methods, it wasn’t until Ana discovered behavioural training that she saw true and lasting change. Rocco’s transformation became the turning point — showing Ana just how powerful the right approach could be in helping dogs feel safe, understood, and calm. Rocco went on to help rehabilitate hundreds of reactive, aggressive and antisocial dogs, with his calm, well-balanced nature!
By the time Ana graduated, dog training went from a side hustle to a true calling. Ana founded The Good Hound Company with a clear mission: to help all dogs — regardless of age, breed, size, past or temperament — live balanced, confident lives with the people who love them.
With years of experience in canine behaviour, Ana specialises in addressing the root causes of behavioural issues using a calm, confident, and balanced approach. Her philosophy is grounded in a deep respect for natural dog behaviour and psychology, with an emphasis on trust, communication, and long-term change. Today her rescue German Shepherd, Vinny has taken the reigns assisting other dogs overcome their anxiety and reactivity to dogs.
Whether working with anxious pups, reactive dogs, or young puppies just starting out, Ana tailors each program to the unique needs of the dog and their environment. Her goal is not only to train and rehabilitate, but to empower owners with the tools and confidence to build a lifelong partnership with their dogs.
When she’s not working with clients, Ana spends time with her own pack and still volunteers fostering dogs and training foster cares for Starting Over Dog Rescue. Ana’s motto is “Every Dog Is Different” so she continues to grow her skills through ongoing study and hands-on learning.
At The Good Hound Company, we’re proud to follow her lead — specialising in behavioural training that transforms relationships, not just routines. We believe in calm, connected, and respectful partnerships between dogs and their humans. Join us on the journey to better communication, a calmer mind, and a happier life with your dog!
Meet Ana
Founder & Behaviour Modification Specialist

Ana is the passionate force behind The Good Hound Company. Her journey into canine behaviour began in 2015 while studying Animal and Veterinary Science at university. Wanting more hands-on experience, she began fostering dogs through Starting Over Dog Rescue — and it was her second foster, Rocco, a 4-year-old Staffy x Shar Pei, who would change everything!
Meet Shae
Dog Trainer & In-Home Pet Sitter

Shae brings warmth, reliability, and a natural connection with animals to her role as a trainer and pet sitter at The Good Hound Company.
With a strong foundation in canine care and behaviour, Shae supports clients across training, structured walks, and in-home pet care. Her calm and patient approach helps dogs feel safe and understood, whether she’s reinforcing training techniques or simply providing trusted companionship.
Shae is passionate about helping dogs develop confidence and balance through consistent routines, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement. Her ability to read a dog’s body language and adapt her approach ensures every dog gets the individualised support they need.
When she’s not working hands-on with clients, Shae loves spending time with her own dog, volunteering for Starting Over Dog Rescue and continuing to grow her skills in assistance dog training and care.
